Term 4 starts tomorrow, but weโre still feeling a little teary as we look back on our Year 12sโ final day of school at the end of Term 3.
It was a special day for our entire school community, and an especially meaningful one for our graduating class, who said goodbye to school with a mix of nostalgia, excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead.
๐ธ Take a look back at some of the highlights from this memorable day, from heartfelt farewell speeches and a beautiful performance to the celebrations and a final clap-out, with staff and students lining the hallway as they exited the school.

Hundreds of students have been cashing in their well-earned ๐๐ถ๐น๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ at our PBS Pop-Up Shop this week!
Earned throughout the term for positive Compass chronicle entries, students exchanged their tokens for a range of rewards, including some tasty treats, sports equipment, LEGO sets and more. ๐๐ซ
The PBS Pop-Up Shop is fast becoming a favourite end-of-term reward, recognising students for the positive choices they make throughout the term.

Camaraderie, friendly rivalry and plenty of House spirit were the takeaways from Gilmore College's recent Athletics Carnival.
Throughout this fantastic day of sport and competition, students had the chance to showcase skills beyond the classroom, with plenty of encouragement, teamwork and school spirit along the way.
Whether on or off the track, students demonstrated our SOAR values๐ to the highest standards, cheering on and celebrating their peers.

What a wonderful evening of music, creativity and celebration at our recent Music Night!
Years 10โ12 students shared an impressive variety of performances, from instrumental pieces to vocal performances, showcasing the dedication, confidence and skills they have been developing.
It was fantastic to see our students step into the spotlight, support one another and share something they have worked hard to achieve. ๐๐ต

For this yearโs NAIDOC Week, we did things a little differently! ๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ก๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ ๐ต๐ผ๐๐๐, taking us along for a look at the celebrations and activities happening across Gilmore College.
Along the way, they chatted with students and staff about what they were looking forward to and what โ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐น๐โ means to them.
From our whole-school assembly and a visit from inspiring guest speaker ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐จ๐ด๐น๐ฒ, to quizzes, kangaroo stew and damper, and the much-anticipated NAIDOC Week footy game, it was a busy week celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements.
Despite weeks of editing, there was just too much exciting content to fit into one video! So, keep an eye out for our ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ ๐ฏ ๐๐ป ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐๐น๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ next week for some great photos.

As we look back at moments from last yearโs ๐ ๐ ๐๐พ? ๐ท๐๐ฆ, weโre reminded that the most meaningful part of the day is the opportunity to pause, connect and make time for one another โจ.
Tomorrow, weโll come together as a school community once again to recognise this important national day of action ๐ and create more of those moments.
As part of our ๐ ๐ ๐๐พ? ๐ท๐๐ฆ activities, students will engage with special guests from wellbeing and mental health organisations, take part in teamwork activities and sport ๐, enjoy performances, have time to relax and mingle ๐๐ผ, and share a sausage sizzle with friends ๐ญ. There will be plenty of opportunities to step outside the usual routine, meet new people and enjoy a day centred around connection and wellbeing.
๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ปโ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฅ ๐จ ๐ข๐? ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐! ๐
Collect your passport from any agency stall, fill in your full name, then visit the different activities and stalls around the school to collect a signature at each one. The more you explore, the more youโll discover โ and once youโve completed your passport, youโll be treated to a free sausage sizzle! So come dressed in yellow ๐, get involved and make the most of the day.

A colourful collection of characters recently took over Gilmore College for our ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐จ๐ฝ ๐๐ฎ๐, as students and staff brought some of their favourite stories and characters to life!
Our science staff transformed into a flock of cheerful ducks ๐ฆ, the arts team became a colourful box of crayons ๐๏ธ, and Sherlock Holmes was spotted investigating the school grounds. Meanwhile, a dinosaur stomped through the library ๐ฆ and a whip-cracking Indiana Jones led a parade of book characters through the gym!
Luckily, we had the Men in Black stationed at the gates to keep Gangsta Granny, Gru and a few mischievous Minions in check! ๐
Thank you to everyone who dressed up, joined in and helped make the day such a fun celebration of books, characters and reading.

Last week, our Gym was transformed into a vibrant Health Expo, with our Year 12 students taking centre stage as specialised exhibitors ๐งโ๐ซ on a range of health and wellbeing topics, including self-image, nutrition, first aid, healthy habits and lifestyle choices, and fitness.
Proudly standing beside their carefully prepared displays, our Year 12s warmly welcomed staff and younger students, sharing insightful and considered information drawn from weeks of research and preparation ๐ป.
To make learning more dynamic, students also designed creative and fun games ๐งฉ๐ฒ to test their visitorsโ knowledge, spark conversations and get everyone involved.
Every year, the Health Expo draws a big crowd, giving students the opportunity to explore topics that matter to them and connect with the questions and challenges that can arise during their teenage years. ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐บ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ ๐ธ๐ข๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐น๐ค๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ!

Last Friday, we left the school grounds and headed to South Metropolitan TAFE Rockingham for an exciting morning with our Year 11 GEM and PPO students, who were ready to put their skills to the rigorous test.
With teachers and expert judges observing their work, you could hear a pin drop in the workshop as our students worked with precision, focus and dedication.
A huge congratulations to everyone who competed! This is a wonderful achievement, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves๐๐ฝ

Itโs that time of the year when we dust off the costume box and get creative once again!
With Book Week Dress Up Day happening this ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐, ๐ฎ๐ด ๐๐๐ด๐๐๐, we are taking a little look back at some of the wonderful characters who came through our school gates last year. ๐โจ
We will also be acknowledging Wear It Purple Day, an annual day that promotes safe, supportive and inclusive environments for LGBTQIA+ young people and reminds everyone that they are valued and supported.
