Governance

Business Plan

The Plan provides strategic direction for Gilmore College over a three-year period and is a key reference point for the introduction of improvement initiatives. It is underpinned by our vision, values and ethos and reflects the breadth of issues confronting not only our College but, public school education.

School Reports

Annual School Reports review and outline each school year, based on four guiding principles:

  1. Assessment of the School’s progress against Business Plan priorities – based on analysis of data produced through the cycle of self- assessment (Key areas include the Business Plan Target evaluation and Professional Learning Activities Report
  2. Provision of contextualised information about student achievement – including those student groups experiencing potential educational disadvantage (Key areas include NAPLAN, Year 12 data, Special Programs report).
  3. Evaluation of Parent, Student and Staff Satisfaction, which is measured in surveys conducted during the year.
  4. Appraisal on our annual budget and accounts based on our annual financial summary.

College Board

As a public school, Gilmore College is required to have a College Board. The College Board operates according to the School Education Act 1999. The role of the Board is that of involvement in the governance of the College. This means taking part in the shaping and monitoring of the College’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions. The Board does not have a role in school management.
