Despite the grey skies and drizzly weather, our students brought the sunshine with their big smiles and positive energy for the start of term.
Term 3 is always a busy one, with plenty happening โ from NAIDOC Week celebrations to the House Athletics Carnival. Itโs also a big moment for our Year 12s as they head into their final term of school.

Having won the Regional competition last year and after months of preparation, the time is finally here! Riley M and James F are travelling to Brisbane to compete against VETis students from across the country at the @worldskillsau National Competition, which runs from tomorrow until June 16.

To wrap up the term, our amazing Year 12 students took the spotlight with a bold group shave in support of the #worldsgreatestshave. After a week of tireless networking to raise awareness (๐๐ง๐ $๐๐๐๐!) for this life-changing initiative, they faced their biggest challenge yet โ saying goodbye to their lush locks!

We are proud to share that Gilmore Collegeโs Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program Coordinator, Isobel Bevis, has been selected as a judge for the 2025 Karajia Awards for Childrenโs Literature โ a prestigious recognition of her talent and dedication.

Process Plant Operations (PPO) students took a deep dive into First Aid and CPR Training โ a vital life skill and a fantastic addition to any resume, especially for those aiming to secure an apprenticeship in the near future.
Everyone showed great commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. This wonderful attitude will certainly serve them well both on and off the job site!

2025 Student Council Camp
Last Wednesday, over 60 students took part in the exciting SSWA Cup held at Warwick Stadium, setting the bar high for next term!
Spread across seven teams from Years 7โ9 (five girlsโ teams and two boysโ teams), students not only showcased their volleyball skills but also displayed strong camaraderie and team spirit.

2025 Student Council Camp
Last week, 15 students from Years 7-12 attended Gilmore College’s Student Council camp, where they spent three enriching days immersed in nature โ getting active, building connections and strengthening their bonds as a Student Council team. The itinerary was packed with thrilling and engaging activities, including rock climbing, archery, abseiling, zip-lining, cooking and more!

Endangered Species Day: Unparalleled edition!
Throughout this fantastic day, the schoolโs staff room buzzed with excitement as over 200 students from all year groups learned more about our planet’s incredible wildlife. Thanks to the incursion payments and gold coin donations, we raised a total of $1602 for Native Animal Rescue.
