Rotary Club of Kwinana/Rita and Andy Valk Foundation Scholarship

How to Apply and Selection Criteria
Rita and Andy Valk were both passionate about the Kwinana community and their Rotary Club. In 2021, Old Flames partnered with the Rotary Club of Kwinana and the Rita and Andy Valk Foundation to award, each year, scholarships to students who are residents of the Town of Kwinana and who are attending an educational institution within the Town of Kwinana.
Scholarships are under the following categories:
- Year 12 Sustainability Scholarship ($500)
- Year 12 Creative Arts Scholarship ($500)
- Year 11 Building & Construction Scholarship (VET) ($500)
- Year 12 Building & Construction Scholarship (VET) ($500)
In addition to the scholarships mentioned above, this generous sponsorship enabled the Gilmore College Educational Scholarship Trust to provide funds for a Program Assistance Scholarship for Year 11 and 12 VET students.
- Year 11 VET Scholarship (4x $250)
- Year 11 VET Scholarship (2x $1000)
- Year 12 VET Scholarship (2x $1000)
*Please note that these VET scholarships don’t require an application form. Recipients will be selected following advice from Students Services in consultation with the Executive team.
