Enrolment Criteria - Gilmore College
Sending your children to school every day is really important for their education and their future. It’s important your child is school ready, whether they’re changing schools or starting Year 7 – every day in a child’s education matters. For your convenience we have outlined below, the step by step procedure to enrol your child at Gilmore College.
Step 1 – Complete Student Enrolment forms available from our Administration Office.
Alternatively, please click on the link below for an editable PDF enrolment application form, which has been made available to help manage the enrolment process in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. The editable PDF enrolment application can be:
- completed electronically
- printed and completed by hand.
You are able to save the form to your device and email the school firstname.lastname@example.org a copy of your child’s application. You can complete the declaration using the check box or provide your signature.
Step 2 – Provide supporting documentation:
- Birth Certificate or extract or other identity documents
- Copies of Family Court or any other court orders (if applicable)
- Proof of address (copy of utility bill, rates, rental agreement stating your CURRENT address)
- Previous school reports
- Information relating to health or medical condition, disability or additional needs (if applicable)
- If your child is not a permanent resident of Australia, you must provide evidence of current visa subclass and previous visa subclass (if applicable, such as if current visa is a bridging visa)

All appropriate documents must be provided before acceptance into Gilmore College.

For Year 6 students enrolling in Year 7, an information package will be distributed to the local intake schools at Bertram PS, Calista PS, Leda PS, Medina PS, North Parmelia, Orelia PS and Wellard PS during Term 2.
For students wishing to enrol in Years 7 – 12 a parent and student interview with the relevant Deputy Principal will be subsequently organised. Families can apply to enrol their children in school at any time. All children from Pre-primary to Year 12 are guaranteed a place at their local public school.

Out of local intake area Applications
Gilmore College is a gazetted Local Intake Area School; and can only guarantee places to students who reside within its Local Intake Area.
- All applications from within our local intake area are processed.
- Applications from parents/caregivers outside our local intake area are considered with the number being determined by the College’s capacity to accommodate further enrolments.
- Gilmore College enrols students at all Year levels.
